Welcome to the Echuca Moama Model Aero Club

Our club is made up of members from around the area including Kyabram, Tongala, Moama, Echuca, Wyuna just to name a few. Typically we fly on Sundays with most members spending the majority of the day flying, discussing our hobby and generally enjoying the surrounds of the field and the beautiful sunny days. We're a like minded bunch of model flyers that enjoy the hobby of Aero Modelling in its many forms and varied aircraft types.

Situated on Watsons Rd Koyuga since 1985 our field is flanked by the Kanyapella Game Reserve and is a short distance from the Goulburn River. A very short drive to the Falcon Hotel on Murray Valley Highway and a 15 minute drive from the Port of Echuca on the Murray River. Across the river and you are in Moama, New South Wales. In 2014 the land occupied by the Club became available for purchase. The VMAA and the club reached an agreement whereby VMAA purchased the field to create the “VMAA Flying Field– Echuca” with the EMMAC being tenants that use and manage the field. This has secured the future for all concerned. The club holds a “Fun Fly” in April each year with the display open to the public. It also hosts other VMAA events from time to time.

We always welcome new comers and visiting members. There are many talented flyers prepared to help the novice become more acquainted with their models, rules of the field and flying in general. There are kitchen facilities which allow members to cook , sit down for lunch or to sit back and view the many and varied craft flying the skies on any given Sunday which is our main flying day and visitors are always welcome. We regularly hold "come and try days" where you can visit the club and a member will assist you in "having a try" at flying model aircraft. 

Membership can be social/associate or flying and our member fees are not excessive.(SEE APPLICATION FORM FOR DETAILS) Our field has a good sized smooth E/W and N/S runway and plenty of open space as we are surrounded by a rural grazing property. There is a clump of trees to the WSW which usually provides some updraught for gliders not to mention a great backdrop for landing aircraft on the East West runway.

The weather in the region is reasonably stable which means we can fly almost every weekend, it can get really hot but for the most part it's never too cold or too hot to fly.
