Carlos Balmaceda, the shows founder and host, says that he hopes to attract members of the public across all interests to get involved with aviation and learn more about Australian Aviation and flying in general.
“They love the fact that there are so many different types of flying contraptions that can fit into the everyday car. They also find the history behind the aircraft featured on the show to be of great interest. [We hope] to introduce the general public to early aviation and how affordable and safe it is.” He said.
The show has already signed a number of exclusive exhibits, including John Delaney’s Wright Brothers Flyer replica project, praised by USA enthusiasts and experts as one of the best existing flying replicas, and built using schematics provided by the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
In keeping with the shows interests in all things aviation, unique and alternative aviation exhibits from companies, associations, clubs and hobbyist groups across Australia will feature at the expo.
Current exhibits include:
· Powered parachutes
· Sport Planes
· Gliders and para-gliders
· Ultra-light aircraft
· Model and hobby aircraft
· Drones
· Flight Simulators
· Skydiving
· Hot air balloons
· Trikes
· Mosquito Helicopters
· Parachuting
Additional exhibitors will be announced at a later date.
Anyone who wishes to enter an exhibit at the Expo can contact The Flying Show via their website.
